wedge + prefix presented: dawit petros: remix

Eritrean-Canadian photographer Dawit Petros is rapidly building a solid reputation for his dramatic portraits of families in their domestic environments. His work combines diverse elements drawn from hip-hop culture, cinema and advertising to examine issues of representation in a post- colonial landscape. The opening reception was held in conjunction with the release party for Prefix Photo 13. The exhibition was presented in association with prefix and was supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.
